How does this work?
Just shoot me an email at email@example.com or via my contact page, and let me know that you're interested in booking a session! I'll get back to you as quickly as possible, and we'll set up a time to have a chat about what you have in mind for your photos. I want to hear about your family, what you're looking for in a photographer, and about the type of photos you envision for your session. We'll also talk scheduling, locations, and anything and everything else you'd like to discuss. To reserve your session, I will send you an invoice for the portrait session fee, which reserves your session time. Within two to three weeks of your shoot, I will send you a link to your online proofing gallery of edited photos from your session, and all ordering can be done from there! I'm happy to answer any and all questions during the process as well.
Can my kids bring toys to the shoot?
Absolutely! Whatever they're comfortable with is just fine with me. It makes the photos even more personal to have a favorite toy appear. Same goes for costumes... if your daughter adores tutus or your son hasn't taken off his Superman cape in weeks? Get those in the photos! They'll be a great reminders of your kids' favorites whenever you look at your photos in the future. This is another reason that I love to do sessions in people's homes... it's such a tangible reminder of how your life is at exactly this moment. Toys on the floor? Of course! Shoes everywhere? Sure. This is how life is, so why not remember it this way?
Where should we take the pictures?
I love shooting outdoors all around Austin, including various parks (Mayfield Park and Laguna Gloria are favorites, as are the Capitol grounds); for portraits, my favorite location is actually your home. Kids are most comfortable there; they can truly let go and be themselves in their home. Please visit my "families and lifestyle" gallery to see photos that have taken place in people's homes... I'd love to capture your family members in their happiest place.
I'm interested in talking weddings!
Woooo! Me, too! Wedding talk is a little different than portrait session talk, for sure; once you send me an inquiry via my contact site, I'll email back so we can set a time to meet up for coffee/a walk/a cocktail. I want to hear about what you're planning for your wedding, and you want to make sure that I'm someone that you're comfortable with on your wedding day! Aside from your significant other, the person who is with you the most on your wedding day is your photographer, so it's always a good idea to make sure that we're on the same page and that we know we'll have a great time together on your wedding day. My goal for your wedding day is for you to not worry about a thing, and to know that your wedding day is being captured with love, care, and responsibility. Once we determine that we're a great fit (because of course we are!), I'll send over a questionnaire about your wedding, as well as a contract. Once I have received your signed contract (I then sign it and return it to you so we both have a copy) and your deposit to book the date, it's on my calendar.
